Not only do we hire the most experienced personnel, but we provide them with in-depth disease-specific training so that they can deliver specialized care to our clients.

Our experience led us to care, how we started.
It all started four years ago when My Father was diagnosed with Dementia by his GP. He then suffered a series of debilitating strokes two years later. He asked me to promise him that no one within the family would place him into residential care, no matter how much his health deteriorated. Domiciliary care within our home was the only realistic option and my Mother and Father moved into our hastily rearranged dining room. During the two years of around the clock care, I began to formulate a picture of what the Domiciliary Sector looked like. We had three, double Carer visits per day, seven days a week for two years. We were blessed with some incredible Carers and typically some Carers who required improvement, but with the right management guidance and training, I believed that they would have improved. The idea for Carefour was at its embryonic stage.
Our Operational Manager and our Care Manager were recruited, as we took our time to register with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We wanted everything to be as perfectly compliant with the CQC as possible. We were registered with no queries or returns on any of our policies and procedures, allowing us to provide Domiciliary and Live in Care within the community. It was a proud beginning, after such hard work and dedication from the team. We wanted our company to grow, but it had to grow sensibly and sustainably in order to provide the continuity of high-quality care required by CQC guidelines. This we have achieved to everyone’s satisfaction. Our growing team of Carers have been hand-picked with the express objective of offering outstanding one to one care. This was achieved by delivering an in-depth and ongoing training program, including constant assessment and appraisals by our highly experienced Management Team.
We continue to constantly monitor our performance through regular Client Quality Assurance Questionnaires and constant communication between each Client and our Care Teams. Our Care Teams are constantly encouraged to ‘Go Over and Above’ basic minimum standards of care, which has given rise to excellent feedback from our clients. We are constantly developing partnerships between ourselves and sector experts in order to access additional services related to the needs of the individual, for example, The Alzheimer’s Society, Dementia UK, Dementia Friends and we are constantly striving to add relevant organisations to the list.
